Representation in Governmental Bodies

L&E operates a representation mechanism that places official environmental representatives in key governmental decision-making bodies to ensure public interests are considered and processes are accessible.

The Israeli Presidential Climate Forum

The Israeli Climate Forum, initiated by President Isaac Herzog promotes Israel’s commitment to addressing the climate crisis through mitigation, adaptation, and cross-sectoral collaboration. Operating under the President’s Residence, it serves as a platform connecting decision-makers, academia, civil society, and government to advance climate policies and provide advisory support to the President.

Arab Environmental Leadership

L&E is actively engaging with Arab society to enhance environmental work by mapping needs, supporting local organizations, and nurturing grassroots initiatives. Key activities include establishing and maintaining environmental committees in Arab municipalities and promoting diversity through the Arab Society Forum and the 'Migvan' Program, which provides targeted training and mentorship to increase Arab representation and inclusion in the environmental movement.

Professional Development

L&E provides professional development programming through trainings, consultations and multi-sectoral strategies to enhance member organizations' impact and address environmental safeguarding effectively.

Animal Rights

L&E is revitalizing the animal rights movement by strengthening the infrastructure of member organizations and integrating their efforts with broader environmental concerns. Additionally, L&E promotes wildlife protection through activities around World Wildlife Day and the "Living City" project, which began in Herzliya to safeguard urban wildlife.

Community and Activism

L&E manages the environmental movement community by providing resources, promoting engagement, and fostering a sense of belonging through newsletters, learning opportunities, and inclusive initiatives. Additionally, L&E's collaboration with Tzedek Centers focuses on empowering local communities to drive environmental and social change through training and partnerships, aiming to create a strong network of grassroots activists.
