L&E is an Israeli NGO supporting the environmental movement since 1975. It serves as the official representative to government bodies for advocacy.
Leading Israel's Environmental Movement
The organization works under the vision of a cohesive, effective, heterogeneous, and pluralistic environmental movement that supports diverse strategies on joint and individual environmental impact. As the legal representative of the many different facets of the environmental movement, L&E leads and shapes public and political discourse on environmentalism and climate change in Israel. It manages broad forums and coalitions that tackle climate change and other environmental issues in Israel, empowers large organizations as well activists on the ground in their environmental activities, and operates a representation mechanism for environmental causes on local, regional and national levels.

As the official representative of Israeli environmental organizations, L&E provides infrastructure and a unified platform for its member organizations. It assists them in performing their functions, enhancing impact, developing standards for management and operation, and increasing accountability.
