Father to daughter, Naomi. Founder of the Megama Yeruka student organization, founder of the Green Movement party, and former chairman of the Heschel Center for Sustainability. Has held his position as CEO of Life and Environment since May 2017.

Chen Barda-Kfir
VP Community
Mother to Mika and partner to Itay. Active in the environmental field for over a decade, she deals with environmental, climate, and planning issues. She has extensive experience in leading projects in local authorities and training programs.

Jonathan Alon
VP for Advocacy, Research, and Strategy,
Grew up in southern France, was educated in the Jewish Scouts, and made Aliya to Israel in 1995. He is a political scientist, an environmental activist, and formerly served as the CEO of Greenpeace Israel. Jonathan lives, in practice, the connection between Judaism and sustainability, and lectures to diverse audiences in order to build bridges between these worlds and promote environmental understanding and mutual responsibility.

Lara Faran
VP Tzamarot Accelerator and Local Initiatives
Over the past 15 years, Lara has been leading sustainability change processes in Israel from within civil society. Her previous roles include: Task Force Manager in the “Mimshak” program, CEO and leader of public campaigns at 15 Minutes – Public Transport Consumers Organization, Director of Training and Activism at Green Course, and more. She holds a B.A. in Geography and Art and an M.A. in Environmental Studies from Tel Aviv University.

Shaked Arad
Director of Food and Animal Rights
Activist and educator. Has a bachelor’s degree in biology and literature and a master’s degree in teaching. Initiates and leads actions for the liberation of animals and the protection of the environment in several organizations and groups. One of the leaders of the "Environment and Animal Food" cell in Megama Yeruka, Teachers for Climate and Animal Rebellion Israel. Involved in projects and educational programs on climate, food and animal issues. I Love animals and people.

Oded Schenhav
Director of Resource Development
Father to Gidi and partner to Dana. Holds a Master's degree in European Studies from the Hebrew University. Believes in the environmental movement's power to create significant change in Israel through collaborations and teamwork.

Nidaa Abu Aleijia
Director of Local Authorities and Diversity
Mother to Yusef and Sand, and partner to Mahmoud. Has a bachelor's degree in leadership and policy in education and Arabic language and literature from the University of Haifa. Educator and former counselor in a youth movement. She hopes to have a positive impact on my society.

Vlada Zhivov
Office Manager
She was born in Belarus and immigrated to Israel at the age of 18. She has extensive experience in financial management in the business sector. Velda has been dealing in jewelry and diamonds for 10 years. Velda studied chemistry and biology and website development. Happily married, plus a dog and cat in Netanya.

Eden Naor
Project Manager
Environmental activist who is eager to make a change in the environmental field. Holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Reichman University and a master's degree in "Social And Policy Aspects of Climate Change" from Tel Aviv University. Fluent in four languages, with experience in social media management, project management, community management, and recruitment.

Achmed Habiv Alla
Arab Community Coordinator
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communication, and a Master's degree in Internal and Public Auditing from the University of Haifa. Currently pursuing another degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Management. Believes that when working together, individual talents merge to create exceptional results and that it is key to personal and group growth.

Shiraz Wiener-Dow
Director of Advocacy
She is a third-year undergraduate student pursuing a double major at Ben-Gurion University in Politics and Government and Geoinformatics, Environmental Sciences, and Urban Studies. A Rothschild Ambassador, she started at Life & Environment as an intern. Shiraz says, “I wanted to intern to combine the fields I study. I’m learning broadly about the environmental world, gaining skills for the future, and enjoying the freedom to explore topics that interest me with full professional guidance. In addition, I enjoy both creative freedom and full professional guidance, which allow me to dive deeply into topics that particularly interest me.”

Dr. Dov Khenin
Chairman of the Presidential Climate Forum and Green Policies
Serves as the chairman of the Israeli Climate Forum established by the President of the State, Yitzhak Herzog, and teaches at the Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University. In his post-doctorate at Oxford University, he studied the politics of the climate crisis.

Dr. Netta Galnor-Tene
Director of the Israel Climate Forum
Head of the Israeli Climate Forum, established at the initiative of President Isaac Herzog. A graduate of the Public Administration Program in the Strategic Planning Division of the Planning Administration, holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and was awarded the President of Israels Scholarship for Excellence and Research Innovation (2019). Has extensive experience in project management and policy promotion, including work at the Israel Democracy Institute and as the Director of the Workshops and Public Education Unit at the AIDS Prevention Committee.

Naama Weinberg
Director of Local Government in the Israeli Climate Forum
Lawyer, educator, and social activist, driven to promote social and environmental change. She has extensive managerial experience in the education sector and broad expertise in leading cross-organizational projects in sustainability, green building, and sustainable planning. She leads complex processes, builds cross-sector partnerships, and advances policy based on on-the-ground needs. She believes in the power of local authorities to drive change and seeks to be part of an initiative that enables them to take the lead.
