Animal Rights
L&E is revitalizing the animal rights movement by enhancing member organizations' infrastructure and integrating their efforts with broader environmental concerns. Additionally, L&E promotes wildlife protection through initiatives like the annual Wildlife Conference, which connects animal welfare organizations and local authorities, and the "Living City" project, which began in Herzliya to safeguard urban wildlife.
Infrastructure for the Animal Rights Movement
L&E acknowledges the vital role of a robust animal rights movement in advocating for effective animal welfare. Despite its history of strength and unity, the movement has encountered challenges in recent years. In response, L&E has adopted a comprehensive approach to rejuvenate and empower the animal rights movement. L&E aims to strengthen the infrastructure of animal welfare member organizations, enhance their capacity, and foster greater integration with the broader environmental movement. Our aim is to promote plant-based diets and animal welfare by building community, aligning efforts, and advocating for systemic policy change.
Protecting Wildlife
Wildlife Conference: L&A leads the organization of an annual conference that brings together dozens of animal welfare organizations and representatives from local authorities. This event serves as a platform for discussing critical wildlife issues faced by local communities, showcasing innovative solutions and approaches, and providing practical tools for implementing effective wildlife conservation measures.
Wildlife Protection in Local Authorities - Living City Project: In early 2022, L&A began developing the "Living City" project, aimed at protecting wildlife within the boundaries of local authorities. The project was officially launched in the city of Herzliya in April 2023.  Â
