Representation in Governmental Bodies

L&E operates a representation mechanism that places official environmental representatives in key governmental decision-making bodies to ensure public interests are considered and processes are accessible.

Representation Mechanism

L&E operates a fully developed representation mechanism for environmental causes and organizations in national, regional and local decision-making bodies, based on a legal appointment that the organization has obtained.

This mechanism includes the appointment of official representatives in planning and building committees, environmental committees in local authorities, and other governmental bodies that influence the environment. The representatives bring professional environmentally-minded know-how to planning processes, thus representing the public’s best interests. To enhance the professional development of the movement's representatives, we provide comprehensive training workshops, access to academic and expert resources, and facilitate connections and knowledge sharing within the environmental movement by establishing communication channels between selected representatives and member organizations. Public involvement is essential for bolstering the environmental movement. We foster involvement by actively engaging the public and disseminating information about environmental issues and involvement opportunities.
